Free Mental Health First Aid Training for Charitable Organisations

Thanks to generous funding from the Jersey Community Foundation, we are pleased to offer Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England training to 12 staff members/volunteers working within the charitable sector. This two-day course will train participants as certified MHFAiders® at no cost to their charity, strengthening mental health awareness and support within the sector.

Spaces are available on the following courses:

  • Option 1: 3rd & 4th of February 2025 (9h00 – 17h00) @ Jersey Archive
  • Option 2: March 2025 (09h00 – 17h00) @ venue TBC

How MHFAider® Training Supports Your Charity’s People:

  1. Spotting the Signs and Symptoms:
Trained MHFAiders® have the knowledge and skills to identify the signs of poor mental health and symptoms of mental illness in colleagues, beneficiaries, and the wider community. This means early intervention and better outcomes for everyone.
  2. Building Confidence:
MHFAiders® are equipped to start conversations about mental health and guide individuals to appropriate support. This creates a culture of care and reduces stigma around poor mental health and mental illness in your charity.
  3. Ongoing Support:
After the course, MHFAiders® have access to MHFA England’s Association of Mental Health First Aiders® and the MHFAider® Support App, ensuring they stay confident and effective in their role long-term.
