Focus On
Removing the stigma of mental health illness in society
Improving care and support of people with severe mental illness
Much has been developed across the wider world to improve the care and support of people with severe mental illness. Here in Jersey however, we still have a long way to go to see the changes in society which once and for all remove the stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness.
Through our campaign work we will be resolute in defending the importance of ‘rights as a citizen’ for people with a mental illness; We will both challenge and work with government and others to improve the quality of services in Jersey as well as holding them to account on their delivery of defined outcomes.
We will bring new insights, innovations and alternatives to help Jersey achieve better outcomes for those with severe mental health problems.
We provide Mental Health First Aid training to help people recognise the warning signs of mental ill health and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support, even in a crisis situation.
